The 06 E-Series Wagon is a 3-door, up to 15-passenger full size van, available in 6 trims, ranging from the E-150 XL to the E-350 XLT Extended. Comparable vehicles to the 06 Ford E-Series Wagon include the Chevrolet Express LT [Discontinued], the Dodge Ram Wagon, and the GMC Savana SLT [Discontinued]. The E-150 XL is equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, V6, 191-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. The E-350 XLT Extended is equipped with a standard 5.4-liter, V8, 255-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. Two commercial interior storage systems are available. An insulated cargo wall and ceiling liner system separates the driver with a safety partition and helps secure and protect cargo and the vehicle with panels of high-density polyethylene. The liner materials can protect from acids, gasoline, salt, fertilizers, and many solvents. A rack-and-bin system is also available with fully installed steel shelving, drawers and cabinets, and a full-width safety divider that provides access to the work area from the passenger compartment. The 06 E-Series Wagon is a basically the same as model year 2005.
